Poker announcements

Poker is a card game in which you bet a number of poker chips in between each deal. There are 5 poker announcements and they are listed below.

Check
If a player CHECKS, it means that he does not place a bet. However, he retains the chance to remain in the game, if others after him do not bet either.

Call
If you CALL, you place the same amount in the pot as the players before you have placed.

Fold
This means that you give up your hand and leave the game.

Bets
If no one has put money in the pot, the individual player can do it via a BET.

Raise
A poker player who chooses to RAISE, chooses to raise a previous BET. A higher amount than previous bets must be placed. The other players have to then either CALL or RE-RAISE in order to stay in the game. Alternatively, they can leave the game, which is called FOLDing your cards.
